US Republicans spend $2000 on strippers: eyes wide shut

'The spending is disclosed in a Republican filing, as required by US law, to the Federal Election Commission. It says that $1,946.25 (£1,300) was spent on 4 February for meals at the Voyeur West Hollywood by the Republican National Committee'. Apparently, in the Los Angeles Times, the Voyeur West Hollywood has been compared to the private club in Stanley Kubrick's last film, Eyes Wide Shut. Strategically undressed women and assorted sexual frolics all over the shop - you get the drift.

I must say, I like the wording: 'spent ... for meals'.
