Dogs in the snow

This oil painting and the pug below were created as a donation to the animal shelter at last year's Wag's to Riches auction. I donated a blank canvas with the idea that I would paint the owners's dog. There was a lot of enthusiasm for that at the auction, so I offered a second blank canvas. Just under $3000. was raised for the shelter! All for a good cause.

Sadly, I just learned that both of these dogs are gone, within the last month.
I'm glad to have spend time looking at their wonderful faces....My condolences
to the Brunkows for their loss.

If you would like to have your pet's portrait painted in a large colorful way, let me know....I like to work in oils, and this is the time for good photographs!!! Strong lights and darks, and close ups of the face. I can do the photographing with my camera. Or, use one of your favorites. Kids, birds, cats good too!
