Recycling at its best: the Dreamball

UnplugDesign have created an aid kit whose packaging can be converted into a football - a prized toy for many children in developing countries, who can only dream of affording a real inflatable ball to play with. The Dreamball kit has been developed for Unicef and Red Cross. Although the cardboard version is unlikely to last beyond a game, the designers point out that the concept can be applied to various sizes and materials, so it should be possible to distribute sturdier Dreamball aid kits. In any case, this is recycling at its best.
