today came to skul at 0710 hrs..assembled thn got pe..pe today need to run 6 rounds and collect ice-cream sticks along the run..tiring..liyana vomitted, bryan stomache, wilson TIRED..me DYING!!!..haiz...

thn english..today ms kaur came bck n suprisingly change our seating arrangement..now i sitting with zheng shun..at least not wif wilson..lol..

aft skul got chairperson induction practice..tmrw oso got..wth..zheng shun no where to be seen..i alone..with the other chairs and d-chairs..haiz

thn need to memorise chairperson pledge..it goes lyk tis..

Calling Islanders to sit for a Portrait

We had a great session with Dennis Willow this week. He entertained us with stories of ice diving under the South Pole, Simplified Neurobiology, music recorded on garage band by his daughter, differences between jazz and rock drumming, and his current research about finding the neurological bases for the internal magnetic compass of sea slugs!
I brought a pile of old arial pilot's charts to use this week, which by chance worked nicely as Dennis is also a pilot.
Mixed media, actually no paint, felt pen, gesso, sumi and walnut ink, colored pencil, plus weird little stickers I found at an estate sale....

San Juan Island, Winter....... Sunday Art Class to Start

It's a wet winter here with a kind of a quiet beauty. The wild roses are burgundy, the trees stay green and the lichens revive on the fence posts. Here's 12" x 16" oil on canvas of an island barn. Available at Funk & Junk $425.

Sunday Art Class will begin Jan 18. This 6 week session we will be concentrating on the basic building blocks of drawing, line, observational skills, light and values, shapes and textures, perspective, & composition. Each week we will have a take home project. Looks like a great group so far, Sharon Lannon, Wendy Woods with her daughter Echo, Mya Burnett, and Virginia Van Camp. hmm..skul was okay..my bag till now so light..haha..
teachers..hmm..some of them are like DESPO..wanting all to contribute in their class..
nominated as chairperson again..ughh..shud hav let zheng shun be chairperson not D.C..
aniwaes all teachers met and sum ex-CHERS..boring leh..
my resolution for year 2009 for skul is 2 take revenge on pple hu offended me in sec 1..haha..
hope i can pass my maths tis tym..mrs ambika is not tat bad..she's quite SLOW in teaching..
mdm zainah hav not appear for a week..and old man MR LEE must teach..a disbelief in SUCKERtainment..haha..(dun even noe wat it means)
ms kaur a little bit scary and WEIRD..she keeps scolding but suddenly crack sumthin out of her mind..her jokes more worst thn mr rethi joke..
